The instrument is also significantly taller than she is, and the proportion of the body of it suggests a string bass.
She plays ths bass. Since it’s bigger than her when she stands on two hooves and a bass is taller than an average person. A cello would be much smaller.
Someone recently fell on and broke my cello. And Octavia plays BASS. As in Double Bass. Not the Fish.

Dunno if anybody else agrees with me, but (in my opinion at least), I don’t think these are funny. They are neat the first few times you see them, but I just don’t get it. If you disagree have evidence as to why they are funny, please tell me.

Because it’s based on a now popular British propaganda poster for WWII that was made around 1939. So people like to replace the symbol of the crown with that of a cutie mark. Also, the original read “keep calm and carry on” so people keep the “keep calm” and put something in the second part relevant to what the specific character is known for.
