The show is still great and enjoyable as it always has been. Jayson Thiessen will make sure that it stays that way. Honestly, everyone should stop worrying about future episodes and trust that it will be fine. Even without faust, the show is within great hands and I know that Jayson will make sure It never becomes ‘unwatchable’ or ‘boring and generic.’

Fellow bronies always love and tolerate through even the worst of times. Even without Lauren Faust, the show is still great(in my opinion), but the fandom is just too great for anyone to leave. This has inspired me to be active in the pony community. I love MLP FiM and we all should too(even though its obvious it was double the awesome when Lauren Faust was still working on it).
When I become animator my dream is to have Fan-base half as cool as bronies.
So… How IS the internet taking Season 2? The jokes and references and charm is definitely still there, and memes are flooding in by the plenty, but I’m not sure what the general consensus is. I loved the intro episodes, but I feel like some of the characters seemed to have changed a bit in preceeding ones, and some of the funny seems a bit forced. Fluttershy doesn’t seem shy or skittish at all any more, Rainbow Dash has become increasingly full of herself in the latest two episodes, Applejack and Pinkie… Haven’t even really been featured in anything yet. Rarity and Twilight are about the same, save Twilight’s brief fall into madness.
Eh… I guess in retrospect it’s not all that bad, but they did seem to alter Fluttershy and Rainbow a bit, and as my favorites it irked me a bit. They need a Pinkie episode, and MORE SONGS!
the consensus is that fans are morons and they prefer what they created by pure ego instead of the actual show let alone the fact that many families are enjoying it with their kids intended audience or not

I like the S2 episodes mostly. Luna Eclipsed was awesome, Lesson Zero too, didn’t care for Mare Do Well, wish there were more songs, but honestly I’d rathe have one good long complete song like the pet song than 10 “Hush Now, Quiet Now” numbers that sound good for 25 seconds. IOW, quality has been cosistent.
But I like the fan canon as well. I don’t want to see Derpy or Octavia on the show except in cameo lest they ruin fandom. I’ll read the fics and comics and make my own headcanon.

I am inclined to agree with you meh. The fact that he has come on here, and stated that we are all here in order to “boost ourselves” as Fable has stated. Simply means he does not understand our way and shall be tolerated but not loved. Not until he understands what it means to be a Brony.

I think it’s in case the total quality of the season isn’t as good as we thought it would be. So far though, it’s even better than season 1.

If I were part of the creation team of mlp I would be actually quite sad to read this
it not only shows a bit of fanbase arrogance but its really cruel to what they made something they put all their effort into, really low community really low and quite disappointing
Faust was the main driving force that started the show and one of the few people working on it that talk to bronies, that’s why most fans idolize her.
That’s not to say that fans don’t know names like Ingram or Theissan.
I’m finding Season 2 better than Season 1 until now.

She went from executive producer to consulting producer. By the beginning of Season 3 it’s assumed that she’ll have no position on the team. Jayson Theissen the supervising director will be the highest up person who addresses bronies. Theissen and Faust are good friends and he will be going to her for help when needed.
Just think of it as a chance for Lauren to work on Super Best Friends Forever while having time to try and pitch Galaxy Girls to some company that will run with it.

people have opinions, mine is Season 2 is really amazing. remember bronies some of us can’t live up to our words of: Love and Tolerate but you can, I can we all can if we actually try. Or let peer pressure get to you.

I don’t hate S2.
I do MISS certain elements from S1, very much.
As others have already pointed out, S2 seems to be primarily about feeding the Bronies–cultural reference pile-ups, Find The Derpy, ADHD pacing, and cramming as many characters as possible into each script. I love Mayor Mare and Granny Smith as much as anypony but we don’t need to see them THIS often. And frankly, the S2 scripts haven’t been nearly as well-edited as they were in S1 or should be.
I fell in love with the show for the little charming character moments. Take “Feeling Pinkie Keen”: Pinkie Pie just lollygagging around, humming while washing her hoof like a kitty or Fluttershy apologizing to the frog. Even “Look Before You Sleep”, my least-favorite episode for tossing established characterizations right out the window, is loaded up with such moments. These moments haven’t been completely jettisoned in S2 but they’ve been heavily sidelined in favor of WARRRRRGH MUST MAEK DIS MOAR EPIC AND REFERENCEZ.

I agree wholeheartedly, the show seems to be taking a little too much on references and (don’t beat me) fanservice then then the plot. But, I cant blame them, they are trying to please a not expected fan base. I am a brony, and will always be one, but there are some facts you can’t ignore. I’m not saying the new season is bad, but I feel like it plays out like a bad fanfic *sometimes*.
tl;dr
For any idiot that thinks this show is stupid, doesn’t get the message. This show is about the developments of friendships that bring this community together by posting clips, create viral videos and art and talk about the show without negativity. I love this show, so beat it. I don’t give one shit of what anybody says. Try watching the show for a change.
